Re: Food?
Nothing like the beignets from New Orleans. I actually went to Cafe Du Monde one time but the line was so long we ended up getting them from another place. A friend of mine who lives there told us the best place to get them was a little Chinese restaurant. We weren't disappointed.
If you can't make it to New Orleans for the beignets, the little donuts they sell at Olive Garden are a pretty good option.

Re: Food?
I was there last winter, just before the Super Bowl. Loved it. Still had some mix from CDM. You can just use pancake mix too. Making them fresh is pretty easy and surprisingly not messy. No weird crappy doughnut aftertaste either.NN1Badboy wrote: ↑November 5th, 2025, 12:18 am Nothing like the beignets from New Orleans. Re: Food?
This thread made me wonder if a seahawk—or osprey or augur hawk—could be eaten, but apparently they host a number of parasites and diseases. I’ve also learned that a group of osprey is called a duet, since they are solitary creatures and only appear with another osprey when mating (perhaps not unlike some in this forum—rim shot, please).
The duet should be no match for the “we, not me” power of the flock, mob, or herd of rams, especially during 13 personnel.
Also, seahawks don’t really exist, unlike rams. https://www.audubon.org/news/what-seahawk-anyway
