I would put Vince in the mix. I think he is dreamy. I was an Everett fan, got a lot of bad pub and nervous feet in the end but I still liked his play. F Jim Rome and his childish ambush of Jim. Also, let's not forget James Harris, like Jim I liked his play. Good memories. Now do one on worst Rams QB, Tony Banks. I still have nightmares of those years, horrrrrrrible.

What might have happened had they kept Jaworski, the Polish Rifle?

Way before my time but Bob Waterfield was great.
He was named MVP of the league as a rookie in 1945, led his team to championships in 1945 and 1951, and was married to one of the biggest stars in Hollywood in Jane Russell.

Does anyone remember Dieter Brock? I am going in the weeds here. As I recall he was a phenome. Out of Canadian football League. Very brief stay with Rams. Got us into playoffs. Injury?

At the age of 34, Brock became the oldest rookie quarterback in NFL history, leading the Los Angeles Rams to the 1985 NFC Championship Game.
Eric Dickerson held out the first two games and the Rams still went 7-0.
Rams got crushed in the playoffs by the 85’ Bears

Re: Top 5 Ram QB's of All time are...
Such potential. A total head case. I never realized just how cocky he was until I looked some things up.
After a 14–0 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 of 1998 he skipped the team flight back to St. Louis and did not appear at practice the next day. After three seasons with the Rams, the team signed Trent Green and then traded Banks to the Ravens for a fifth and seventh round draft pick.
21 fumbles in 1996!
“He claims that he was asked by Houston's coaches not to play too well in practice to ensure that he would not upstage David Carr, who the team had drafted first overall in the 2002 NFL draft.”
On February 28, 2006, Banks was released by the Texans. He never returned to the NFL.

He got abused by the '85 Bears in the playoffs and was never heard from again.

Re: Top 5 Ram QB's of All time are...
For me Its actually a pretty easy decision..
1/ Warner - came from nowhere to win the SB and followed that up with another appearance
2/ Stafford- took the Rams over the top to win SB
=3/ Bob Waterfield, Norm Van Brocklin - won California's first professional sports championship.
5/ Chose from a whole bunch of guys that produced good to decent stats... I would go Everett.

Re: Top 5 Ram QB's of All time are...
IMO no way should Ferragamo be on this list...he really only played 2 full seasons as the starter...through more INT's than TD's for his career...and left the Rams for the CFL when we finally felt like we had a QB to complement that defense.
I refer to him as Ferrashithead...sorry but that one cuts me deep

I know this might cause a stir but I'm sorry I can't put Everett or Ferragamo a head of Goff. Everett and his happy feet disqualies him. Ferragamo was too terrible late in his career to put him over Goff. Goff's 1st 3 years were really good.

You know the single most embarrassing moment for me as a Rams fan was my support for Tony Banks. Don't know why I liked his arm but was a blind idiot for seeing the complete disaster he was.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑August 29th, 2025, 6:00 pmSuch potential. A total head case. I know he can't be considered an alltime great, but Mark Bulger could really sling it.

Can I get an honorable mention for Marc Bulger? He had a controversial overlap with Warner but he was damn good. I remember making the case in the Stl PD forum he was a top 5 QB in the NFL. He went to the Pro Bowl that year. He was fun to watch and is probably underrated because of Warner. Martz got him killed but that dude could throw. I still love that guy.

Don't hate on me but Bradford could have been really good were it not for his knee. He was Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Brock didn't get then in. E.D. and their defense got them into the playoffs.

Well...I don't love the guy...in fact, I didn't like him when he was the starter49RH8R wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2025, 3:40 am Can I get an honorable mention for Marc Bulger? That said...Martz did almost get him killed.....and he was solid...I would take him over Ferrashithead and Dieter "knock the ball down at the LOS" Brock every day of the week

Re: Top 5 Ram QB's of All time are...
I would take Goff and Bulger over Jim Everett. No clue why Everett is on this list. I always thought Everett was mediocre.
Warner easily #1. At his peak perhaps the greatest QB of all time. Other guys are considered better due to longevity of career but in terms of putting the ball into the tightest windows Kurt is the best I’ve ever seen at doing that and making the quickest decision. It’s really a shame he messed up his thumb bc he was never the same after that. Freak injury.
Gabriel is #2.
The next 3 could be debated over and over.

Yes, as I recall Bulger spent a lot of time looking up at the ceiling of stadiums.49RH8R wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2025, 3:40 am Can I get an honorable mention for Marc Bulger? Was Marino average?Truth wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2025, 5:30 pm I would take Goff and Bulger over Jim Everett. No clue why Everett is on this list. I always thought Everett was mediocre.

Here is Everett's next 5 year stretch compared to Dan Marino from 1988-1992
QB Games Comp Att Comp% Yards TD Int
Dan Marino 80 1,616 2,790 57.9 20,080
Jim Everett 80 1,477 2,554 57.8 19,024
I am just screwing with you. But for what 3 years? Everett was pretty good got Rams into playoffs/championship. Thing was never got team to SB.
