Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
The Rams and Seahawks are evenly matched groups, which makes it hard to decide which team should be favored in this Week 11 game. Oddsmakers have set the lines and it’s the Rams who are slight favorites as the home team.
They’re favored by 2.5 points over the Seahawks, which would essentially make it a pick ‘em on a neutral field. The over/under is 48.5 points and the Rams are -142 on the money line ($145 wins $100).
The Rams have won four games in a row entering this week, all by at least 14 points. The Seahawks have also won four straight, all by at least eight points. Seattle has been one of the biggest surprises this season with Sam Darnold at quarterback and Jaxon Smith-Njigba leading the league in receiving, but its the defense that has been particularly impressive.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Last year in the playoffs Darnold had this Line Against the Rams D... in a 27-9 Rams win!
25-40, 245 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.... BIG stat. Rams sacked him 9 times for 82 yards lowering the Passing yards total to 163.
And Jared Verse had none of the 9 sacks. NONE! Rams won easy. So they do have a blueprint on how to disrupt him.
Whether or not they can push the Hags O-Line around like they did the Vikes that game remains to be seen. We'll see on SNF!

So true. Gotta get to Darnold otherwise he and JSN will be playing catch all night long.
Would love to see some blitzing thrown in there from time to time.....to time.
Going to be a true heavy weight slugfest

Thanks for all the stats. This is a very even match so it might come down to the better QB which is Stafford and home field advantage (Rams).DelMar wrote: ↑November 10th, 2025, 4:41 pm Defense Stats:

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
I’m wondering about the Kupp factor: his shared Rams insights and what will surely be emotional play for him being back in LA. His numbers are down, but he’s still Kupp, and he had a big play last game.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
The difference between SF and Seattle's Offense is Seattle will hold onto the ball longer trying to go deeper downhill. This is why we won last year against Darnold and Minnesota hopefully we can get him off his spot and get a bunch of sacks.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Im worried that Seattle will put-physical the Rams. Because Seattle is a run first offense, it takes away the speed rush
On the other side of the ball, Seattle has a physical front 7.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Key to this game imo, keep their Offense off the filed. Just like how we handled the 49ers... Win TOP, build strong steady drivers, 5-8 yards each time and LIMIT the mental mistakes ... Just slowly grind their D down.. Their DB's are ranked towards the bottom, Stafford should have a good day.Ramsfan08ny wrote: ↑November 12th, 2025, 11:18 am Im worried that Seattle will put-physical the Rams. Darnold is playing out of his mind right now, and I think we are the team to bring him back down to Earth.. If Shula can do exactly what he did to Darnold that we did to him in last yeas wild card.... We can win this game.
Watch this,

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
A number of Talking Heads are picking the Seahawks; we need to kick Darnold's ass just like we did in Minny. This can be a real statement game; time to dominate and assert our superior talent.
Stafford throws 5 TDs on Sunday.
No, I'm not putting the crack pipe down. Go Rams!

Good. I want all of the talking heads and Broadcasters to jock Seattle! I want the Rams to play like they have no respect and go in angry but with control.Claremontram wrote: ↑November 13th, 2025, 2:04 pm A number of Talking Heads are picking the Seahawks; we need to kick Darnold's ass just like we did in Minny. Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Fact is, we can't be playing soft zone D's or prevent against these guys. We do at the end of every half, depending on the score sometimes for extended periods of time. Speed up rotations and try to pressure the Hags O all over the field for most of the 60 minutes.
Shut them the F down. Every team is going to make plays, that's a given. Make it harder for them, make them earn their yards.
We know everything they do is off the dink and dunk passing. Stop giving them room at the LOS. Knock their speed guy on his can right there before he gets going. Darnold will have nothing but checkdowns and if we tackle, they won't get much. Give the O a Chance to build a lead!
WTF happened to that kind of football. Today it's play soft so they don't score on 1 play. Give up more yards and points in the last 8 minutes then you did the first 52, while the O players on the other team are fattening up their stats at the same time... and then both demand more $$$$.
I remember a certain game the Hacksaw, Youngblood, Dryer, Brooks, Cromwell version of the Rams D had @ Seattle, in the Kingdome I believe it was against the Hags Jim Zorn, Sherman Smith and Steve Largent era, and we shut them out. Held them to -29 yards for the game or something like that. Negative total yards. Never see that again. Commish will have better details of that game, he usually does...

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
I agree and think this is more than just another good football game. If we win and look good doing it, we might be considered the best team in the NFL and frontrunner for another SB. Some pundits already have us as the top team but beating Seattle would leave little doubt.Claremontram wrote: ↑November 13th, 2025, 2:04 pm A number of Talking Heads are picking the Seahawks; we need to kick Darnold's ass just like we did in Minny. Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Per Geoff Clark (Outkick)
Seattle Seahawks at Rams (-3)
This will be another Statement Game. I love Seattle (7-2) and all, but there are levels to this, and LAR (7-2) is a tier higher than the Seahawks. Rams QB Matthew Stafford is the betting favorite to win the NFL MVP entering Week 11, and they lead the league in net EDSR. The Rams have a better coach and defense, and are better in high-leverage situations.
Furthermore, LAR's defense is Seattle QB Sam Darnold's toughest test yet. The Seahawks have the highest rushing rate in the league, and the Rams are seventh in yards per rush allowed. Hence, Seattle will have to convert a bunch of third-and-longs, and LAR's pass-rushers can pin their ears back and get after Darnold.
Essentially, this is where the Rams will win the game. Shoutout to The Ringer's Anthony Dabbundo for this stat via Trumedia: LAR is fourth in EPA per dropback on third-and-six-plus or fourth-and-six-plus, and Seattle is 27th. The Rams sacked Darnold 12 times in their two meetings last season when he played for the Minnesota Vikings, including nine sacks in the playoffs.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
The thing that's bothering me most is all the talk about the Ram's D and how high they rank in many categories.
Are they really that good? We've haven't faced many of the good O's and won't during the remainder of the season.
I get we can only play who on the sched, but....
So far we've faced..
The No.1 ranked Colts
11th SF w/o a few of their starters, twice
15th Houston who were missing their top RB, TE and 2 WR's.
19th Jags in London
20th Ravens w/o Lamar and their All Pro LT
23rd Eagles
26th Saints
32nd Titans
With games still to play vs 27th Panthers, 21st Cards (2X), 17th Bucs, 16th Falcons, 9th Hags(2X), 6th Lions,
We'll see if they're worthy of their rankings with some of the better Offense upcoming, AFAIC on the hole, they have not yet been really tested and may be a bigger concern then ST! Hope I'm wrong but we are only 11th in Yards a game allowed playing that sched.
This week should tell us lots!

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
CBS Sports sees this as the top game of the week, and they’re choosing the Rams by 3: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl- ... ns-eagles/
The Rams are long overdue for a TD return on a punt or kickoff. Hoping for lots of punts. I think that return will happen this Sunday as part of a special teams awakening.
Unless I just jinxed that.
Sorry.

On the flip side of that, Seattle hasn't really beaten anybody good. We've played and beaten some similarly weak teams but we beat Indy and almost beat Philly and SF. Seattle hasn't really been tested.Rampager66 wrote: ↑November 14th, 2025, 3:59 pm The thing that's bothering me most is all the talk about the Ram's D and how high they rank in many categories.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
Why this game is crucial.
The only tough games Seattle has remaining after this week.
Indy
SF
Rams
The 9ers remaining tough games are
Indy
Chicago
Seattle
The Rams still have
Tampa
Detroit
Seattle
Cannot give up any more ground, especially with the 9ers already 3-1 in division, and probably 4-1 after Sunday.

Us- Eagles, Them-Redskins
Us-Lions, Them-Vikings
Us- Ravens, Them-Steelers
The rest of our scheds are the exact same.
The Hags have been tested about as much as we have... @ Pittsburgh a W, vs TB a L, vs Houston a W
They still have games against the Rams-X2, vs Minnesota, vs Indianapolis and @ SF that will test them further!
We have to beat them, that's all there is to it...

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
But as far as teams already played, 2 of their wins have been against woeful AZ and we haven't played AZ yet. Add that to the W's they got against NO, Jax, Hou, and a beat up Skins team. The only win that stuck out was Pittsburgh but they are 5-4 while Indy is 8-2. I'm not saying Seattle isn't good because they are but you gotta look at their schedule.Rampager66 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 2:16 amUs- Eagles, Them-Redskins

We have to beat them, that's all there is to it...![]()
Whatever, it will be settled tomorrow and then the division in the coming weeks.

Re: Rams vs Seahawks Pre Game Discussion Thread
I could be wrong, but I think our D-line will be able to rush Darnold with much more aggression than they did last week. Zero sacks against Jones was not fun. They couldn’t go all out because they had to maintain their gaps and stay disciplined due to the huge threat of McCaffrey. Seattle’s run game is good, but we don’t have to respect it as much — they’re a pass-first team with Darnold, and he’s not very mobile; he’s a pocket passer. Our D-line is going to get to him multiple times. I’m betting on that.
